MetriNote – Notion Beefs Up with Enterprise-Grade Security, Compliance Controls

Oct. 18, 2023 – Notion has announced the addition of more than 20 enterprise-oriented features for its connected work hub tool. Upleveling on security and compliance controls, Notion now offers a managed users dashboard for workspace owners; new user controls allowing admins to manage employee information, external workspace access, session duration, and more; integrations with security information and event management (SIEM) and data loss prevention (DLP) products from vendors like Datadog, Panther, Splunk, and Sumo Logic; and partnerships with Nightfall AI and Polymer for setting policies on sensitive content and, when content use is out of policy, triggering notifications or auto-remediation. Among other enterprise-oriented enhancements, Notion also has fleshed out its import capabilities to ease migration of existing information to the tool. Additional organization-level controls and custom data retention rules will be coming soon.
