MetriNote – Salesforce adds ChatGPT to Slack

Author: Irwin Lazar, President and Principal Analyst March 7, 2023 – Salesforce announced the “ChatGPT App for Slack”, aimed at improving how Slack users find and manage information. The new generative AI capabilities, powered by OpenAI, will provide conversation summaries, search and research tools, and writing assistance directly within Slack. With the app, Slack users will be able to query ChatGPT’s external data sources to, for example, find information about a prospect, company, or topic without having to switch to a web browser. The ChatGPT app for Slack is currently available in beta. Salesforce did not disclose a general availability release timeframe.
