MetriNote – Glean Adds Generative AI for Enterprise Search, Knowledge Management

Glean is using enterprise-specific knowledge and its own large language models for the generative AI. The new features are AI answers, for surfacing contextual and permissions-based answers to natural language search queries; expert detection, which uses AI to map subjects to people and then display internal subject matter experts relevant to an employee’s search results; and in-content recommendations, which supplements search results with clickable recommendations based on content and context related to surfaced assets. AI answers is available in limited private preview, while expert detection and in-context recommendations are generally available now.
