MetriNote – Cisco Acquires Robust Intelligence for AI Security

August 26, 2024 – Cisco has announced an intent to acquire Robust Intelligence, a provider of solutions for testing and securing artificial intelligence (AI)-based applications. It did not disclose terms of the acquisition. In its announcement, Cisco notes that it will leverage the acquisition to accelerate development of Cisco Security Cloud with the goal of increasing its ability to protect AI applications from a variety of current and emerging threats, including prompt injection and data poisoning. Cisco expects to integrate Robust Intelligence’s capabilities directly into Security Cloud going forward, providing customers with a broader platform for network and application security.
