What's the news?
May 6, 2025 – Salesforce has extended autonomous AI capabilities into the human resources (HR) domain with the
introduction of Agentforce for HR Service. This Agentforce service comes with a suite of out-of-the-box topics and actions that will allow AI agents to complete HR-specific tasks. Employees will be able to use conversational prompts to trigger tasks, such as requesting time off or submitting an expense report, from within the employee portal available via HR Service or while working in Slack. The AI agents, which are grounded in company data, knowledge articles, and policies, integrate with HR information systems and human capital management systems. Agentforce also is embedded within the HR Service Console, for HR reps to use in managing employee cases—offloading routine requests to AI agents while also getting help from AI agents in handling more complex issues.
The Agentforce Platform, Employee Portal, and HR Service Console are available now. Initial Agentforce for HR Service topics and actions will become available this month in the Employee Portal and next month in Slack. On tap are update employee details, manage time-off requests, submit and track expenses, update direct deposit, and track employee programs. Pricing for Agentforce HR will be consistent with broad agent pricing, Salesforce said.
