June 5, 2024 - Asana announced artificial intelligence (AI)-powered bots for facilitating work for individuals and teams within the Asana collaborative work management platform. These highly customizable and adaptive bots, called Asana AI teammates, can undertake a number of actions, provide advice, and assist in various tasks. Capabilities including spotting goals at risk and advising teams on how to address the issues; keeping work flowing by completing tasks, triaging requests and assigning work; and identifying broken workflows or other areas in need of improvement and then sharing resources as appropriate. AI teammates get organizational visibility and contextual awareness from the Asana Work Graph data model, which underlays the work management platform, breaking work components such as tasks, projects, and files into elements that it can then interconnect into different relationships across projects and portfolios. Asana AI teammates is in beta now. Additionally, Asana announced impending availability of a new AI-powered chat interface that provides conversational assistance in the flow of work. The chat interface will be available this month.
