June 7, 2023 – At Cisco’s annual “Cisco Live” customer and partner conference, AT&T and Cisco announced an expanded partnership around networking, calling, and go-to-market activities. A key part of this announcement is an expanded integration between AT&T’s mobile network and Cisco Webex Calling in support of Cisco’s Webex Go mobile offering. Webex Go, launched in October 2021, allows Webex Calling customers, via a dual SIM, to place and receive Webex calls using their phone’s native dialer. At initial launch customers could only use Webex Go on unlocked devices as a secondary phone number and could not purchase corporate data plans as an integrated offering. The new capabilities available through AT&T include native IMS integration between AT&T and Cisco, allowing customers to obtain and manage AT&T mobile numbers directly within Cisco’s Control Hub, as well as support for SMS/MMS, extension dialing, and unified voicemail. AT&T delivers Webex services over its VoLTE network with the ability to isolate and prioritize Webex data across the AT&T network. Webex Go through AT&T will be available later this year to U.S.-based customers at no additional cost to Webex Calling customers who have AT&T phones and business voice and data plans.
