MetriNote – Avaya and RingCentral Bring Cloud UC to Avaya Aura

Author: Irwin Lazar, President and Principal Analyst What's the news? May 13, 2024 – Avaya and RingCentral have announced an expansion of their existing partnership agreement. This expansion brings new RingCentral capabilities to current Avaya Aura unified communications (UC) customers. The new capabilities include seamless connectivity between Avaya Aura on-premises or private-hosted calling and the Avaya Cloud Office, powered by RingCentral, UC-as-a-service (UCaaS) platform. This integration enables customers to support calling across both platforms. In addition, Aura customers will be able to integrate RingCentral video, messaging, and RingSense AI, RingCentral’s AI platform. RingSense AI is currently available to customers of Avaya Cloud Office. Aura integration will be available later this year.
