MetriNote – Box Powers Up with More AI, Additional Features

November 12, 2024 – Among other product and feature updates, Box has announced new AI-powered capabilities for managing content within a collaborative work environment. Specifically, it has introduced Box AI Studio, for no-code customization of Box AI agents for specific needs and workflows, and Box Apps, for no-code building of purpose-built applications for business processes such as contract management, invoicing, employee onboarding, and others. The apps can include dashboards, tailored content views, and integrated workflow automations. Box AI Studio will be available beginning in January 2025; Box Apps is in beta now. Feature enhancements include Box Forms, for designing and publishing web and mobile forms; and Box Doc Gen, for auto-creation of custom documents using data from Box Forms, third-party apps, custom apps, and metadata. Security updates include Box Archive, for simplified long-term content storage; and Content Recovery, for recovering data from ransomware attacks. Lastly, Box introduced a new licensing plan, Enterprise Advanced, that pulls these together into a single package.
