MetriNote – Google and Microsoft Partner to Remove Meeting Friction

What's the news?
On Feb. 3, 2026, Google announced Meet hardware device interoperability with Microsoft Teams meetings. The interoperability allows Meet hardware device customers to directly connect to Teams meetings. It also allows those using Windows-based Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) devices to directly join Google Meet meetings. There is no additional charge for this capability and the one-touch-join from Meet devices to Teams will be enabled by default as Google rolls out software updates in February.
