MetriNote – HP Delivers New Small Meeting Room Video Devices and Advanced Management

Author: Irwin Lazar, President and Principal Analyst What's the news? On Feb. 3 HP announced the Poly Studio V12 video bar and the Poly Lens Pro for Rooms for remote device management. The new video bar includes a 4K camera with a 120-degree field of view and is designed for “bring your own compute” (BYOC) small meeting rooms. It includes acoustic fencing capability to block out noise from outside of the camera view, as well as AI capabilities to eliminate background noise and automatically focus on active speakers. The Poly Studio V12 video bar is currently available at a list price of $899. Poly Lens Pro for Rooms enables IT teams and ISVs to remotely manage Poly video conferencing systems. Features include configuration management, troubleshooting, proactive alerting, system and utilization reporting and health, and analytics. The software is extensible via APIs. Poly Lens Pro for Rooms is available now via free time-limited trial. Pricing was not disclosed.
