MetriNote – HP Expands Poly Video Offering

September 24, 2024 – As part of a slew of announcements at its annual HP Imagine event, HP introduced new Poly video conferencing devices, including the Poly Studio X32 and X72 all-in-one video bars, and the Poly Studio V32 and V72 premium video bars. The X devices include built-in compute capabilities while the V32 and V72 rely on external compute. The 32-series devices are designed for smaller meeting rooms while the 72-series devices are designed for large rooms. Both deliver built-in AI capabilities to frame participants and reduce background noise. Both series are certified for Microsoft Teams and Zoom at time of announcement. Poly also announced VideoOS 4.4, enabling administrators to define room or open space boundaries. Finally, Poly announced enhancements to its Lens device management app, including a new ability for support teams to remotely access rooms.
