MetriNote – RingCentral Adds APIs, Workflow Builder for RingSense AI

April 30, 2024 – RingCentral announced that it has extended its development platform capabilities with new artificial intelligence (AI), video, and social messaging APIs. The AI APIs will allow the use of RingSense AI functionality, such as audio and video transcription, summarization, and speaker identification/segmentation, with RingCentral and third-party recordings. Developers also will have the ability to add insights into and personalize audio and video interactions using techniques such as keyword analysis. With the new Video API, along with a software development kit, developers will be able to create a white-label experience by integrating live video meetings and interactions into their applications. Lastly, the Social Messaging APIs enable integration with nine social media platforms: Facebook and Facebook Messenger, Instagram and Instagram Messaging, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, X and X Messages, and Viber. The new APIs, in beta, are available for RingCentral Video Pro+ and RingEX customers at no charge.

Additionally, RingCentral announced the RingCentral Workflow Builder, which provides the ability to add customized or pre-built workflows for increased automation. Pre-built workflows include out-of-office replies, SMS auto-reply to keywords, and more.
