MetriNote – Salesforce Adds Project Management to Slack

Published on: June 10, 2024

Author: Irwin Lazar, President & Principal Analyst What's the news? June 6, 2024 – Salesforce’s Slack team has introduced Slack lists, a new project and task management capability available directly within the Slack app. Lists integrates with Slack channels, much in the same way as Slack’s canvas content-sharing feature, and supports the ability to use Slack forms and workflow builder to create automations. With lists, the goal is to bring more work into Slack by enabling users to manage tasks and projects directly within the app without having to rely on a separate project management tool. Slack will gradually roll out lists over the next several weeks at no additional cost to those with paid Slack plans.
