Feb. 14, 2024 – Slack has announced the launch of Slack AI, a generative AI tool that gives users the ability to get summaries of chat conversations and query information from within Slack channels using natural language search. The search capability provides suggestions for obtaining further query insights. Slack AI is based on a private model that maintains customer data isolation and control. Slack also announced that partners are bringing their own AI capabilities into Slack. For example, Notion AI summaries are viewable within Slack. In addition, Slack will deliver future integration with Salesforce Einstein Copilot, allowing Slack users to query customer data stored in Salesforce CRM. While Slack AI is now generally available as a paid add-on for Enterprise Plans, Slack did not announce pricing.
