MetriNote – Vonage Powers Deutsche Telekom API Platform for Developers, Businesses

What's the news?

Sept. 20, 2023- German telco Deutsche Telekom announced the launch of its new MagentaBusiness API platform, powered by Vonage. Via the platform, developers and businesses can tap into communications APIs for use in adding video, voice, messaging, and other communications functions into their applications, products, and workflows. In addition, the platform provides access to network APIs for interfacing directly with the operator’s mobile network. Three network APIs are currently available: a quality-on-demand API lets an application request a certain quality of service for a SIM card; the Device Status – Roaming API can determine whether a device is in international roaming mode, and where; and a device location API verifies a SIM card’s location within the mobile operator’s network in Germany.
