MetriNote – Zoho Adds AI, More Automation to Collaborative Work Apps

June 5, 2024 – Zoho introduced new artificial intelligence (AI) and workflow automation capabilities for four core collaboration tools: Zoho Projects, for project management; Zoho Notebook, for note-taking; Zoho WorkDrive, for file management; and Zoho Sign, for digital signatures and ID verification.
  • With Zoho Projects, users will now be able to use conversational voice commands with Zoho’s unified search engine to find information stored across the Zoho app universe. This natural language processing capability is powered by Zoho’s Zia AI engine. Projects users can get summaries of custom charts and analytics dashboards via Zia Insights, and they can generate tasks and recommendations using a ChatGPT integration with the platform. Additionally, Projects users can now access Zoho Blueprint to build project workflows.
  • For Zoho Notebook, Zoho has added Zia-powered summarization, task management, chart creation, and more. Additionally, a new embedded Whiteboard feature will allow users to spin up audio or video meetings in real-time.
  • For Zoho WorkDrive, Zoho now includes workflow automation. This will allow users to map, manage, and automate content processes across teams and departments.
  • For Zoho Sign, Zoho now offers the ability to create reusable templates, orders, and other documents, for automated routing to team members, as appropriate.
