MetriNote – RingCentral Upgrades Microsoft Teams Integration

May 8, 2023 – RingCentral has introduced “RingCentral for Microsoft Teams 2.0”. The upgrade to its existing Microsoft Teams integration brings a number of new capabilities including the ability for Microsoft Teams users to place and receive calls through RingCentral’s UCaaS directly within the Teams app. Additional features announced include presence synchronization between Microsoft Teams and RingCentral endpoints (including headphones), unified contact search across both platforms, the ability to use RingCentral analytics for calls placed via RingCentral through Teams, and integration with the full set of RingCentral features and capabilities, including contact center. The company announced that RingCentral for Microsoft Teams 2.0 will be available in open beta in May and generally available in the summer of 2023.
