MetriNote – Salesforce Invested in Agentics with Agentforce 2dx, AgentExchange Launches

March 5, 2025 –  Salesforce announced Agentforce 2dx, the latest version of Agentforce, its platform for integrating autonomous AI agents in workflows. Previously, Agentforce enabled the creation of AI agents for reactive chat interfaces. Agentforce 2dx introduces more truly autonomous AI agents—agentic AI—that work proactively behind the scenes, activated by data changes, anticipating business needs and taking action. In addition to proactive agents, the Agentforce 2dx platform includes low-code and pro-code tools for developers to use in creating and deploying AI agents. Agentforce 2dx will be available in April. Separately but related, Salesforce unveiled AgentExchange, a marketplace for Agentforce with ready-to-use actions and agents. AgentExchange, launched with more than 200 partners, already offers hundreds of ready-to-go actions, topics, and templates. Each agentic component has gone through security testing and includes customer reviews. AgentExchange is available today.
