March 12, 2025 – ServiceNow announced on March 10, 2025 that it has signed an agreement to acquire Moveworks for $2.85 billion in cash and stock, with the deal expected to close the second half of 2025. This acquisition will combine ServiceNow’s agentic AI ServiceNow Platform with Moveworks’ front-end AI assistant and enterprise search technology. Initially, this will allow every employee across all workflows access to a unified, end-to-end search and a universal AI assistant which will help with things like sales reminders, providing customer insights, and routine HR questions. Further out, ServiceNow plans to integrate solutions like CRM and customer service to offer a single platform that will be able to sell, fulfill, and provide customer service, with the goal of improving customer interactions. Separately, on March 12, 2025, ServiceNow launched its latest platform, Yokohama, which introduces new AI agents across CRM, HR, IT, and more to enhance workflow efficiency and end-to-end business impact. This platform emphasizes a unified approach to AI deployment, addressing challenges like data fragmentation and governance gaps. Also included in this launch are teams of preconfigured AI agents and capabilities to build, onboard, and manage the entire AI agent lifecycle. Yokohama aims to meet the demand for scalable AI solutions by providing a centralized “AI agent control tower” that enables seamless coordination and visibility across the enterprise.
