MetriNote – Vonage Adds RCS Option to Messages API

September 16, 2024 – Vonage has announced availability of Vonage RCS, bringing support for Rich Communications Services (RCS) to the company’s Messages API. With Vonage RCS, businesses can provide secure, branded messages with sender verification intended to boost consumer trust. RCS messages supported via the Vonage communications platform-as-a-service (CPaaS) offering can include rich content such as audio, images, and video while also engaging consumers through features such as interactive buttons, location sharing, and product carousels. In addition, companies will be able to deliver RCS campaigns through Vonage’s conversational application, Vonage Conversational Commerce (powered by Jumper.ai). Vonage RCS is available today in more than 10 countries across EMEA, North America, and South America.
