Author: Layne Haaksma, Senior Research Analyst What's the news?February 24, 2025 –  Zendesk announced plans to acquire Local Measure, an advanced voice solutions and contact center-as-a-service (CCaaS) provider. This news comes after the January announcement of the two companies’ strategic partnership, highlighting Local Measure’s Engage Voice for Zendesk. The acquisition of Local Measure, a longtime partner of Amazon Web Services (AWS), will further strengthen Zendesk’s integration with AWS’s CCaaS platform, Amazon Connect. Zendesk claims this move will enhance its ability to provide comprehensive and intelligent AI-powered voice solutions, particularly in complex and high-volume service environments. The acquisition is expected to close this May.
