Video content is rapidly transforming the enterprise, mirroring the success of consumer platforms. According to Pew Research Center’s
American’s Social Media Use: 2025, 84-85% of Americans now use YouTube. An Association for Talent Development
report published in 2023 noted that 25% of TikTok users use the platform for learning.
Metrigy’s
Workplace Collaboration and Contact Center Security: 2026 global research study found that 45.2% of the 307 participating companies now use video internally to share content, such as product demonstrations, presentations, marketing materials, and more. Adoption has grown from the 37.1% we measured in our 2024 study.
The increasing adoption of video for streaming and sharing information creates growing risk from misuse, data leakage, privacy violations, and lack of compliance enforcement and management. To ensure they can realize the same benefits seen in the consumer space, organizations must take a proactive approach to enforcing security across all video-generation sources and content repositories. They must establish strong policies regarding video content sharing, as well as ensure a strong security management and compliance posture.
