MetriNote – 8×8 Launches Operator Connect

April 16, 2024 – 8x8 has announced Operator Connect for Microsoft Teams enabling Teams Phone customers to use 8x8 for PSTN connectivity through Microsoft Azure. 8x8 Operator Connect is initially available in 20 countries including the United States and Canada, as well as the UK and Australia. The new Operator Connect capabilities add to 8x8’s existing portfolio of Teams solutions including its “8x8 Voice for Microsoft Teams” Direct Routing solution, the 8x8 Phone App for Microsoft Teams that integrates 8x8 calling features directly into Microsoft Teams, and its Microsoft Teams-certified contact center service. Operator Connect for Microsoft Teams is available now and requires a Teams Phone license.
